Quang Binh University Welcomes International Students from Khammouane and Saysombun Provinces (Lao PDR)
On October 20, 2025, Quang Binh University solemnly hosted a welcoming ceremony for international students from Khammouane and Saysombun Provinces, Lao PDR.
Attending the welcoming ceremony, the delegation from the Lao PDR included Mr. Vanthavy Sanouvong, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Khammouane Province, and his spouse; Mr. Uottama Channinhavong, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Sports of Khammouane Province; and Mr. Thaher Chaleanhniapao, Head of the Department of Statistics, Planning, and External Relations, Department of Education and Sports of Saysombun Province.
From Quang Binh University, attendees included Dr. Vo Khac Son, Vice Rector; Dr. Phan Trong Tien, Head of the Department of Science, Technology, External Relations, and Learning Resources; Dr. Nguyen Van Duy, Deputy Head of the Department; as well as faculty, staff, and, notably, the Lao international students.
On this occasion, 25 international students from Khammouane Province and 5 students from Saysombun Province, Lao PDR, arrived to study at Quang Binh University.
The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, reflecting the special Vietnam–Lao friendship and the close cooperation between Quang Binh University and the Lao provinces in the fields of education and human resource development. The event also highlighted the university’s role in fostering solidarity and traditional friendship between the peoples of Vietnam and Lao PDR, while creating favorable conditions for Lao students to study, train, and develop in Vietnam.
