Quang Binh University Works with Tan Trao University on the Co-organization of a National Scientific Conference
On the morning of October 27, 2025, at the Meeting Room on the 3rd floor of the Administration Building, Quang Binh University held a working session with Tan Trao University regarding the co-organization of a national scientific conference entitled “Sustainable Tourism Development Based on Cultural and Natural Values in the North Central and Northern Midland and Mountainous Regions.”
The conference aims to share knowledge, exchange experiences, and promote scientific research in the field of tourism.
Attending the working session, from Tan Trao University were Dr. Nguyen Minh Anh Tuan – Rector, Dr. Pham Duy Hung – Vice Rector, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Hung – Deputy Head of the Department of Scientific Management and International Cooperation.
From Quang Binh University, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Vuong – Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector; Dr. Vo Khac Son – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector; Dr. Duong Thi Anh Tuyet – Vice Rector; along with the heads of subordinate units of Quang Binh University.
In his welcoming remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Vuong – Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of Quang Binh University – expressed his pleasure in welcoming the delegation from Tan Trao University. He emphasized that the main purpose of the meeting was to discuss and reach an agreement on key contents related to the co-organization of the upcoming national scientific conference. This event holds significant scientific importance, as it not only promotes research activities within the university but also creates opportunities for academic exchange between the staff and lecturers of the two universities.
During the working session, Dr. Nguyen Minh Anh Tuan – Rector of Tan Trao University highly appreciated the cooperation of Quang Binh University in jointly organizing the conference. Dr. Nguyen Minh Anh Tuan emphasized that the conference would be an excellent opportunity for scientists, experts, and lecturers from both universities to share research findings, contributing to the promotion of sustainable tourism development based on the cultural and natural values of the region.
During the discussion, the delegates focused on various issues, including the main themes of the conference, the time and venue, program structure, presentation formats, as well as logistics, communication, and technical matters. All contributions were aimed at enhancing the professional quality of the conference while ensuring its scientific rigor, practical relevance, and applicability.
The two universities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the co-organization of the national scientific conference entitled “Sustainable Tourism Development Based on Cultural and Natural Values in the North Central and Northern Midland and Mountainous Regions”, aiming to share knowledge, exchange experiences, and promote scientific research in the field of tourism. The cooperation includes the following key points:
- Joint organization of the conference: Both universities will co-organize the national scientific conference on “Sustainable Tourism Development Based on Cultural and Natural Values in the North Central and Northern Midland and Mountainous Regions.”
- Agreement on conference schedule: The conference is planned for May 2026.
- Resource sharing: Both parties will share resources, including human resources, financial support, facilities, and relevant materials, to ensure the success of the conference.
- Conference promotion: Both universities will collaborate in promoting the conference through their respective communication channels.
- According to the agreement, Quang Binh University will serve as the co-chair, taking primary responsibility for the organization and overall coordination, including planning, editing and publishing the conference proceedings, preparing facilities and logistics, and hosting delegates. Tan Trao University will serve as the co-chair, coordinating on academic content, promoting the conference, inviting scientists, participating in peer review, and presenting papers at the conference.At the conclusion of the working session, both parties agreed on the implementation plan and committed to effective cooperation to ensure the successful organization of the conference. The meeting not only demonstrated the responsibility and initiative of Quang Binh University in organizing scientific events but also opened the door for long-term, sustainable collaboration between the two universities in research and education.
